🤠 What Does “Paniolo” Mean?🌺

The word “Paniolo” refers to Hawaiian cowboys, a tradition that dates back over 185 years when Mexican vaqueros were brought to Hawai‘i to teach cattle ranching. These skilled horsemen helped shape Hawai‘i’s ranching culture, particularly on the Big Island’s Parker Ranch, one of the largest cattle ranches in the United States.

Texas and Hawai‘i share deep cowboy roots, with both regions embracing ranching traditions, hard work, and the spirit of adventure. The Paniolo Power Play embodies this connection, uniting Texas and Hawai‘i through the love of volleyball, competition, and cultural exchange.
